The project conducted story telling exercises for 10 individuals selected from former inmates, family members of the massacred victims, political rebels tortured and oppressed and one individual from internally displaced person of the ethnic conflict. The objective of the story telling was to ensure victims and survivors are relieved as they narrate and commemorate painful moments and suffering of their past, get powerful stories for impactful advocacy aimed to reduce future atrocities in the country and specifically in Somali region and to create awareness and lessons increase accountability for those who perpetrated the violence’s for the past two decades.
